Sprinkling - $0 - $50
A Sprinkling is when a family sprinkles Cholla Afterlife's special blend of dried flowers and herbs on their pet as a symbol of their togetherness to ensure their pet a safe and gentle journey to the Bridge. The flowers make it through the water cremation journey and are ultimately dried with the pet's remains. Since the last thing a family touches with their pet are those flowers, it's like a little piece of them stays with their pet forever.
Sprinkling appointments are scheduled every 30 minutes and are free for Cholla Afterlife families who bring their pet to us, and for families who request that we pick up their pet at their home or vet. Families who come to Cholla Afterlife through a partnering veterinarian may choose to do a 25 minute Sprinkling for $50. And all families can do an extended Sprinkling (two consecutive appointments) or a separate second Sprinkling for $50 per 25 minute session. A Sprinkling appointment can be scheduled up to 48 hours after the pet arrives at Cholla Afterlife.

Pickup fee covers first 30 miles. For pickups with one way mileage over 30 miles, base fee increases by $50 for every 15 miles beyond that to cover staff time.
Handling fee for large pets and/or steps:
• Add $100 for pets 80-150 lbs
• Add $200 for pets 151-200 lbs
• Add $300 for pets 201-250 lbs
There are so many ways to honor and remember your pet, like planting a tree, painting a rock, or hanging their collar in your garden. Another way to honor your pet while making a difference in our community is to make a monthly donation to a local animal rescue in your pet's name.
Here at Cholla Afterlife, we are proud to support Old Souls Animal Rescue and Retirement Home, a 501c3 nonprofit organization (EIN 27-2806988) located on five acres of beautiful Sonoran Desert in Picture Rocks, Arizona, just northwest of Tucson. Old Souls takes in homeless geriatric, special needs, and hospice animals, primarily from Pima Animal Care Center, and provides them with veterinary care, a soft bed, pain management, nutritious food, and everything they need to enjoy their last chapter of life.
Old Souls is not open to the public due to the fragile conditions of many of the animals, but volunteers and donors are welcome by appointment. Community members are also welcome to spread their pets' remains around the perimeter of Old Souls (where Cholla Afterlife also spreads our communal remains) for a monetary donation.
